About Institute for Human Resource Management Education (IHRME):

IHRME Inc seminar topics cover basic and advanced human resource management practices, administrative practices, compensation, benefits and reward strategies, employee relations, recruiting and staffing, training and development, health, safety and security, and global human resource management practices.

The knowledge domains selected for our seminars are based on the model developed by IHRME Inc. The content of our seminars reflect current core competencies as defined in the recent World Federation of Personnel Management (WFPMA) study on HRM practice.

IHRME Inc will customize any of its products, specifically its Certification programs, to suit the requirements of National HR Associations.

IHRME Inc works in close cooperation with the Global Remuneration Organisation (GRO), the body that developed the initial generic Certification for those in the Remuneration field. This initial program, the Global Remuneration professional (GRP) is the property of WorldatWork, the successor organization to the American Compensation Association which acquired the rights thereto in 1998. GRO in conjunction with IHRME has now developed the Certified Global Compensation Professional (CGCP) Certification program which will be available in June 2007.

 1. Advanced Compensation Management

Overview:

This new 5 day workshop, designed in 2007, builds upon the material presented in the CPHRC 2 Course “Certificate in Compensation Management” and which together form the speciality certification ‘Certified Global Compensation Professional'® (CGCP) both are issued by iHRME Inc.

This Advanced workshop has been designed by the Global Remuneration Organisation (GRO) using the original designers of the GRP Certification producing a shorter, but technical robust version. In a unique presentation delivery the first 90 minute segment of each module is an interactive discussion on "advanced concepts" as apply across a variety of specialised areas of Compensation each at an advanced level. The second 60 minute segment we term “concept application" and it takes its form in either individual or team based practical exercises and/or case studies specifically related to the subject area.

The Workshop modules are:

  • M 1: "Successful Remunerations Strategies For A Flat World"
  • M 2 "Guiding Principles For Rewarding Performance"
  • M 3 "Strategies For Compensating Executives"
  • M 4 "Strategies For Compensating Sales Personnel"
  • M 5 "Strategies For Compensating Professional/Technical Personnel"
  • M 6 "Strategies For Compensating Teams"
  • M 7 "Strategies For Compensating International Assignees"
  • M 8 "Strategies For Compensating Culturally Diverse Workforces"
  • M 9 "Capstone” activity, where participants identify concepts and strategies relevant to their organizations

A Professional certificate is issued to those who successfully undertake a 50 question examination at the conclusion of module 9. Where participants have previously successfully completed the examination requirements for CPHRC 2, Certificate in Compensation Management, then they will be awarded the speciality certification “Certified Global Compensation Professional” ® (CGCP).

NB. Participants who have partially completed the Global Remuneration Professional (GRP) Certification program, originally designed by the Global Remuneration Organisation (GRO), and now conducted by WorldatWork may qualify for full exemption from having to complete CPHRC 2 (a Certificate for CPHRC 2 will not be issued).

 2. Advanced Staffing and Development Management Certificate

Overview:

This new 5 day workshop, designed in 2007, builds upon the material presented in the CPHRC 1 Course “Human Resource Generalist Certificate” and which together form the speciality certification ‘Certified Global Staffing and Development Professional”® (CGSDP) both are issued by iHRME Inc.

The Six modules which comprise this course focus on both learning concepts and their practical application. The 1st element of the module is an interactive discussion on "advanced concepts" as THEY APPLY across a variety of specialised areas of Staffing and Development, each at an advanced level.

The second element is “concept application" in the form in of individual or team based practical exercises and case studies specifically related to the subject area.

The Workshop modules are:

  • M 1: WORKFORCE PLANNING FOR A FLAT WORLD
  • M 2: ORGANIZATIONAL STRATEGY DEVELOPMENT AND APPLICATION

 3. Certified Global Training Professional (CGTP) ®

Introduction:

This five-day intensive Certification focuses on the needs of adult learners, communication and learning styles, instructional methods, presentation and training skills. This course is designed for both trainer/facilitators who are currently engaged in the training function within an organization; or for those individuals who freelance their services and wish to enhance their marketability and credibility through certification. The course is highly participative and trainer candidates will have the opportunity to prepare and deliver presentations to master trainers and peers.
